Art has been a passion as far back as I can remember.
As a student I achieved the highest marks in art throughout school career. I received numerous art awards from the TED (Then Transvaal Education Department) and was awarded a bursary to study Fine Art. I decided to study graphic design and pursue a career in advertising
I feel passionately about the importance of art in society. Art influences society by bringing fundamental issues into the light and unites us by re-instilling shared moral values like love, faith and hope.
— Jennie Terman, National Endowment for the Arts said it brilliantly! Quote:
“The arts matter because they help us see the world from different perspectives. They give us empathy and help us understand people, places, periods of history, and issues with which we may otherwise be unfamiliar.”
I recently joined The Pencil Club and helped set up The Pencil Art Foundation, a NPO. The Pencil Art Foundation with our subsidiary The Corrie Scribante Gallery, has been set up to promote the appreciation of visual arts by developing and promoting local artists.
